Daily Blessing

Don’t be afraid to let go. If God is calling you out, He’ll hold you up. If others oppose you, He’ll defend you. If circumstances shake you, Jesus will steady you. If you want to walk in resurrection power, die to yourself every chance you get. Refuse to cling to your rights, your rightness, and your imagined territory. Open your hands and trust the bigger story to God. He is more for youthan you can imagine. He won’t look away, won’t miss a thing, and will rise up on your behalf when the time is right. Right now, tuck yourself under His wing and rest awhile. Maybe it’s time for a new season. He’s got you. Have a blessed night.

God is about to call you out of the boat and onto the water. He asks you to trust Him Yours may be a task that feels over your head, or a mountain too steep to climb. He may ask you to leave your current assignment, or, He may ask you to stay; whichever requires more faith. He may ask you to face your giants or to lead those that think they can learn nothing from you. Will you shrink back? Or will you rise up? You don’t need all of the answers. You have Jesus. You have His Spirit alive in you. You carry this treasure in your earthen vessel so that you’ll know that the power that marks your life is of God, and not of you. Don’t shrink back, rise up, and go forward in faith. God is the author and the finisher of your faith.

Jesus misses nothing. He sees every nuance, every hurt, and every scheme fashioned against you. He remembers every tear you’ve cried, every promise He’s made, and every time you trusted Him. He’s more intimately involved and invested in your story than you are. Never doubt it. So in this place, stand and sing like you believe it, “My God is for me, who can stand against me?” Bow and pray, “I humble myself before You, Almighty God, have Your way in me.” Then rise up and keep marching. By God’s grace, you’ve more power, reinforcements and assistance than you’d ever know what to do with. Set your face like flint and keep on keeping on. Redemption is coming to your story. Courage means you get back up again after you’ve been knocked down. Courage means you face your fears and move past them. Courage means you stand up and remain confident in the face of your bullies. Jesus was the King of Courage and He lives inside of you! Refuse to let your enemy kick dirt in your eyes or spew lies in your ears. YOU are a child of the Most High God. You are someone heaven knows. YOU are profoundly important to the greater Kingdom story. So rise up, wrap yourself up in courage, and face your day. God is with you!

May God reset your perspective tonight. You’re not called to do everything, be everything, or even see everything. You are called to keep your gaze fixed on God alone. Don’t look at all of your problems all at once; instead, look at ONE of His promises all of the time until you’ve made it your own. God’s Word is living and breathing, active and powerful. God’s Word holds life, wisdom, and revelation for you. Search until you find them. It’s time to reset your perspective. God has peace for you here. He has joy for you here. He has provision for you in this place. Look to Him and you’ll find life again. May you spend the rest of your life getting to know the love of God and the promises of God. May you spend every moment seeking the face of God. He deserves your trust. He’s a good God. It’s impossible for Him to fail you.

When certain situations pierce your heart, tell your soul, “I’m still in the not-yet. God’s not finished yet. The story’s not over yet. God is working ways I cannot see. My faith will be my substance and my evidence, my proof that I believe in Almighty God who daily establishes His purposes for me. If I don’t have it yet, it’s because I’m not ready for it yet. God, make me ready. Prepare my heart. Teach me what I need to know.” And then, in the meantime, look around, and thank Him for the right-nows, the parts of your story where you’ve seen God handiwork and experienced His faithfulness. Remember His goodness. Rely on His love. Trust that He is faithful. He’ll help you stay the course, keep the faith, and preserve to your next place of promise.

Though our culture idolizes perception, perfection, and façade, may you refuse such shallow mindsets. When you see others, may you look past the surface and care about the story. May you instantly discern what makes them tired, thirsty, and longing for more. May God use you to bring a little of heaven to earth. And when you look in the mirror, may you practice some self-compassion. May you see the beauty in your brokenness. Jesus loves your humble heart and He isn’t finished with you yet. When you’re tempted to hide your scars, settle into God’s grace instead. Jesus treats your story with tender care. He’s far kinder than we tend to be. Breathe in His supernatural love tonight, and exhale His grace to a world in need. God bless you.

May Jesus increase His territory through you! May you allow Him more access to your soul, more influence in your life, and more voice in your choices. There’s more of Jesus for you!  The enemy of your soul wants you focused on your disappointments and limitations. The Savior of your soul wants you to look up and believe Him for great things. There are places in your soul that God wants to heal, truly heal, so you’ll know freedom you’ve not known before. There are burdens that weigh heavy that aren’t yours to carry. As you venture into this new year, may you slow your pace and turn your face towards the One who holds the universe in His hand and who holds you, very close to His heart. You can trust Him.
