Daily Blessing

In those places where you feel like sighing, may Jesus put a new song in your heart. Where you’re weary from holding on, may He give you new courage to stand strong. Where you’ve waited long to see the breakthrough, may He very soon do what only He can do. Sometimes it feels like He’s slow to intervene but the truth is, He’s meticulous and miraculous, He’s sovereign and strategic. He knows what He’s doing and He deserves our trust. May we all rest in Him this day. He’ll do the heavy lifting. Blessings to you!

May PEACE settle into your soul before your answer comes. May JOY rise up within you at a moment you least expect it. May PROVISION come out of nowhere and remind you that God has your back and HE goes before you. May you defy the odds and come back from the trials you’ve endured. May you thrive right here, in the place God has you until He moves you. And may your life be a living-breathing testimony of God’s grace and goodness, His kindness and His love. Most answers to prayer come subtly, bits at a time. If you’ve been waiting a long time to see a major breakthrough, today’s a good day to look around at all of the prayers God has already answered. Take note of the gifts you possess, the ones you’d miss if they were gone tomorrow. Notice how personally God has tended to your story. Pay attention to the little things, like a subtle shift in perspective, or a lightening of your burden. These things matter and are evidences that life springs up all around you. Don’t discount the small answers while you wait for the big ones. God is answering your prayers and He hears you when you call on Him. Keep praying. Keep believing. And have a thankful day.

Only two months left of 2018. Most of the year is behind us and the holidays are before us. What’s on your heart these days? What do you long to see God accomplish in your world and in your life? What hurts do you want to leave behind? What lies did you pick up when life let you down? May you give some time and space to consider how you want to approach the holidays this year. May God help you leave the rat race for the sacred pace. May you refuse to strive for appearance sake and instead embrace the life that’s yours. Thank God for the blessings you enjoy and throw pretense out the window. I dare you to belly laugh, taste your food, and enjoy your loved ones. Make some plans not to have plans. Refuse to compare and despair. Instead, rejoice that you have nothing to prove and much to celebrate. A most blessed holiday season to you.

May your inner dialogue match God’s thoughts about you. May you begin to treat yourself as kindly as God treats you. May self-compassion replace self-contempt. May holy-confidence replace negative self-awareness. May joyful trust replace constant second-guessing. In Christ, you are a NEW creation. The old has gone and the new has come! Tell your soul what’s true. Tell your brain what’s true. Walk and talk like it’s true. Soon, you’ll receive it and believe it. We tend to limit others in the very ways we limit ourselves. With Jesus at your side, may you blow your self-limiting beliefs to smithereens! And may you walk free beyond your wildest dreams. Everything is possible with Him.

May you embrace the healing process that God has in motion right now. You can trust Him. May you notice the daily graces He provides. They’ll make your burden lighter. May you refuse to stuff emotions that keep trying to surface. They’re trying to tell you something. May you refuse the quick fix. You’re made for the long-haul, not just for the moment. Healing is a process and it happens in steps. So take the next step. May you boldly imagine by faith the new levels of freedom that Jesus won specifically for you. That Promised Land is yours! When certain situations pierce your heart, tell your soul, “I’m still in the not-yet. God’s not finished yet. The story’s not over yet. God is working ways I cannot see. My faith will be my substance and my evidence, my proof that I believe in Almighty God who daily establishes His purposes for me. If I don’t have it yet, it’s because I’m not ready for it yet. God, make me ready. Prepare my heart. Teach me what I need to know.” And then, in the meantime, look around, and thank Him for the right-nows, the parts of your story where you’ve seen God handiwork and experienced His faithfulness. Remember His goodness. Rely on His love. Trust that He is faithful. He’ll help you stay the course, keep the faith, and preserve to your next place of promise.

May God reset your perspective today. You’re not called to do everything, be everything, or even see everything. You are called to keep your gaze fixed on God alone. Don’t look at all of your problems all at once; instead, look at ONE of His promises all of the time until you’ve made it your own. God’s Word is living and breathing, active and powerful. God’s Word holds life, wisdom and revelation for you. Search until you find them. It’s time to reset your perspective. God has peace for you here. He has joy for you here. He has provision for you in this place. Look to Him and you’ll find life again. May you spend the rest of your life getting to know the love of God and the promises of God. May you spend every moment seeking the face of God. He deserves your trust. He’s a good God. It’s impossible for Him to fail you.

Sometimes, in fact most times, we need a fresh gift of faith to face our current battles. May Jesus give that to you! May you begin to see things from His perspective. May His very presence bring joy and strength to your heart. You don’t have to see His answers to believe that He has them for you. You don’t have to know how He’ll intervene to believe that He will.
